    Corinthian Seated Female Terracotta

    Fifth Century B.C

    Flat-backed seated female terracotta wearing clinging Chiton, each hand resting on corresponding leg. The hair is centrally parted beneath a low polos; facial features in low relief.

    Such seated females were one of the most popular representations in Corinth during the entire fifth century, however generally are not found beyond Greek mainland and Aegina.
