Early Bronze Age Jars
c. 3100-2900 BC
Two red burnished earthenware jars from the Transjordan area, the larger of the two (photographed left), of bi-conical form with bowl-shaped mouth and twin lug handles, measures 19cm (H) x 11cm (D), priced at £200.00-SOLD;
The smaller, similarly of bi-conical form with an elongated upper section and three pairs of protruding knobs situated at midpoint, measures 11cm (H) x 10cm (W), priced at £125.00. Both jars have areas of discolouration.
