    Large Tang Horse

    AD 618-906

    Mid-tan terracotta with white slip and applied pigment; stands foursquare upon integral groundline; large head is held upright and faces slightly left; prominent moulded and delineated features include large wide eyes, tall pointy ears, flared nostrils, inverted mane and applied trappings; moulded saddle blanket and saddle, short stylized tail.
