The Kylix has a museum type repair, recomposed from fragments, there is minor restoration for a few small pieces; the exposed band around the centre has been touched up to give a more natural look.
Full Description
Attic Black-Figure Kylix connected with Elbow's Out Painter
c. 540 BC
Dark-tan clay with applied black-figure decoration consisting on one side of four draped males standing on either side of large swan with spread wings flanked on both sides by a palmette connected to the handles by tendril and on the other side by three draped males standing either side of swan; reddish-black gloss band above and below and over footring; black gloss over interior with reserved tondo and band around rim.
A good example of a classic type.
