    Fair Trading Bottles

During the reign of Bonnie Prince Charlie, widespread smuggling or "Fair Trading" as it was known, was rife. In 1784 the barque 'Peggy' sailed from Portugal loaded with good claret. Unfortunately the overloaded boat sank in ten fathoms of water off the Black Island of Scotland, here it was destined to lie undisturbed for 200 years. These bottles come from the bottom of the sea of this very wreck, unfortunately the contents are gone!
