Set of Three Bronze Cyathiscomele

Roman Empire, c. 1st-2nd Century AD

A (Centre)- Superb large Cyathiscomele and probe; Rounded shaft with decorative mouldings at shoulder consisting of piriform section with pair of transverse ribs on either side. Measures 18.5cm (L). In superb condition with an attractive glossy dark green patina over whole. For similar cf. Hattatt, ABOA, 184. Priced £165.00

B (Left)- Cyathiscomele and probe; Undecorated rounded shaft with probe and large leaf-shaped spoon with a carinated 'keel'. Measures 15.5cm (L). In super condition, with an attractive glossy light green patina over whole. For similar cf. Hattatt, ABOA, 200. Priced at £95.00

C (Right)- Cyathiscomele and probe; Shaft rounded in its lower section with probe at end; Series of transverse ribs just above midpoint, the shoulder slightly piriform, giving way to leaf-shaped spoon. In excellent condition with a patchy patina and some minor earth deposits. Priced at £110.00.
