    Large Iron Age Cypriote Bowl from the Severis Collection

    Cypro-Geometric III, 1200-1050 BC

    Large conical form bowl; Mid-orange clay with red slip and applied black decoration consisting of six concentric circles encircling shoulders with multiple black bands below and at footring and single black band above; Black-wash over handles; Similarly, concentric banding to interior of bowl; Twin handles.

    A fantastic example with excellent pigment remaining.
