Thoth

Thoth was the Ancient Egyptian god of writing and wisdom. He was Maat’s husband. He was initially a moon god. Since the lunar cycles organized much of Ancient Egyptian’s rituals and events, he was also seen as the god of measurement and regulation of time. He was generally depicted as a man with the head of an ibis or a baboon.
