A pale blue glazed composition amulet of the god Bes standing with hands at stomach, and wearing a plumed headdress; reverse shows his tail and suspension loop.

Very fine condition; a small chip in antiquity from the side of his headdress.

Late Period: Circa 664-332 BC.

He was a complex being who was both a deity and a demonic fighter. The name Aha is also associated with Bes, meaning fighter and is thus associated as the god of war.
