Electrum

Electrum is a both naturally occurring and artificially produced compound of which the main constituents are gold and silver. Since nearly all Ancient Egyptian gold contained various proportions of silver, it is often difficult to delineate between gold and electrum. Modern authorities consider Electrum to be 20% or more of silver. Found commonly in Ancient Egyptian works, from sculpture to jewellery it can range from a rich to very pale gold.
