Exquisite Roman Glass Flask

An exquisite Ancient Roman glass flask of a beautiful light blue colour. This fine vessel features a concave pedestal foot and a short, rounded body leading to a long cylindrical neck. Two applied loop handles extend from the flaring rim to the shoulders. An applied glass trail decoration further enriches the composition, while a mesmerizing iridescent patination covers the surface.

Date: Circa 1st-3rd Century AD
Provenance: Ex J. Lawton Collection, UK 1990-2010.
Condition: Extremely fine. Earthly encrustations visible on the surface. Stabilised stress cracks to the neck and foot.
