Luristan Bronze Animal Pendants

A selection of bronze Luristan pendants taking the form of different animals, including a horned goat and a bull. Each figurine has a suspension loop to the back and areas of rich green patina.

These pendants were designed to be worn on the body, either to act as an adornment or as a charm on a horse’s harness. The animals represented would have been well known to the indigenous tribes that inhabited the Luristan region.
